Nikon D200 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only)

Part of the venerable Nikon Dxx series, the D200 is Nikon's last generation semi-professional camera body (followed up by the D300). Even today, it remains a good buy for those looking for a compact, yet rugged DSLR with semi-professional features. The D200 offers 11 autofocus points, and a shooting speed of five frames per second.  It is house in a rugged magnesium frame body, which gives it a bit more heft than most prosumer level cameras on the market.  It's not the latest technology, but the D200 remains a solid buy for many.

Nikon D80 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera (Body only)

Before the D90, there was the Nikon D80.  The D80 is in Nikon Dxx "prosumer" line, which means it is quite feature rich while still remaining within range of many hobbyists budgets.  While the features of the D80 are probably overkill for those just looking to step up to a DSLR, the D80 is a great option for those serious hobbyists who can appreciate features like the built in wireless CLS (creative lighting system) flash control.

Since the D80 is now an older model, you can get some great prices on this still great camera.  If you're looking for a backup for your D90, or simply a feature rich first camera at a great price, give the D80 a look.
