The D2x was Nikon's flagship professional camera in the days before the D3.  For those looking for a high quality, pro-build camera at a low price, this is the camera for you.  Sure, it's still crop sensor, and the shooting speed of 5 frames per second is nothing to write home about, but it is still an effective camera for many.  If you choose to buy one of these, you'll have a pro quality camera that has served many well in the past.  It just wont be as flashy as a newer model.  Think about it, the D2x may be just perfect for your needs.
